I am not a huge Mary head, but I respect her grind and like many of her beats and messages. I think she is a better than average singer with vocals that bring to mind Aretha. A toned down Wendy Williams-like jock named Jonsey in the am dissed Mary saying that she hates seeing her trying to get a 2nd go round by teaming with now hot acts like Jazmine Sullivan. She said that when she does her horse dance and sings the raspy, "na na na na na na na na na" she is with it, but when she pulls up a chair and tries to act like she can blow, she exits right. She said Mary should let Lauren Hill do real singing and that Faith Evans is someone who can really blow. I disagree on all accounts. Even though as you can tell by my screenname I am a babyface and his bro, mcknight and wonder head, singing is subjective and I don't see where Hill and Evans are the standard bearers. I also don't see Blige as a washed up has been who needs to tag along to a rookie. If anything, new jacks can broaden their fan base through her. Ashame shock jocks get contrary for a cheap laugh or just to get their shows noticed.
