I'm just curious. I'm gay myself. (And no, I don't think I have a chance with her just letting you know I'm not bashing.)
I ask because I learned Lance Bass and she used to date. Lance has said he and his band mates knew he was gay even back in the NSYNC days, so the only conclusion that leads me to is he didn't want the media to know he was gay, so mutual beards, or simply lying to her.

Maybe they went to prom together as friends? I know I did that with my best friend, who was a guy, for my junior prom. Maybe she'd broken up with someone not too long before prom so didn't want to find a serious date and wanted someone to have fun with?
