I just finished it last night after many, many years waiting for it..it's hot off the press, with an Epilogue written by her, at the back of the book, in July 2009. A wonderful book!! A terrific feat, too, for someone so much later in life. Go to amazon.com and read my review. Search for it under books, and with the title "Did you grow up with me too?". Brian

Yes, I wrote June, and instead of a note back, she called!
It was such a delight, with the further outcome that my side of the family and hers are once again in close touch.

Hi Steven! Yes, she did comment on her grandfather in her book (moving to CA). I also wrote a review on amazon.com for her book.
I do wish that the autobiography was longer and it does kind of seem like it was finished off in a rush and a hurry. Sounds like you did get June's home address; if not I could send it to you.

Greetings Brian;
As a family member (June is my dad's 1st cousin) I'd like to say thank you for being such an enthusiastic fan.
I have been in contact with that side of the family just since this past spring, by way of her publisher's help. He gave me her address, just asking in return that I jog her elbow about the book.
I'm looking forward to getting my own copy and one for my dad, plus his brother and sister.
On a recent trip back to Springfield I found where June's maternal grandmother was buried, she died in April, 1931. June's maternal grandfather, a detail which should be in the book, moved with June and her family to California in 1936. She had been a successful voice artist on radio in Springfield for several years by then.
