I was just listening to WBLS and they played a snippet of Wendy Williams. She said Jasmine has lupus. I do not know it to be truebut I know other people with it and their appearance aged quickly like Jasmine's.

I know this reply to a year-old post is peculiar but it's needed.
I agree with everything angeloflove has said and I can back-up the lupus issue. I'm not afraid to admit that I've been living with lupus for 10 years now. Like Angeloflove said any stress on the body can cause aging. With lupus, you're taking steroids (prednisone), other meds like plaqunil not to mention if you have high BP meds for those. In my case the lupus caused damage to my kidneys thus causing them to shut-down so I had to go on diaylysis. Another tougher stress on the body. I was in my late-20's when this all started.
So now the good thing about lupus. With me, in the beginning I weighed 230lbs. I now weight 122. People mistake my 13-year old son as my brother cause they claim I look like I'm 18 or 19 when I fact I'm 38. And even though the lupus and dialysis has kicked my butt, I feel good 80 percent of the time.
So thanks to you Angelflove for your true to form words. I pray that Ms. Guy doesn't have lupus but if so, may God bless her and give her strength.
'Life my a$$ motha flucka, this is a bidness.'

I forgot to add;
An example of a celebrity who didn't address the issue of their health problems and champion the cause immediately? Michael J. Fox. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's years before he officially told the world that he actually had it.
You seem to assume that every celebrity discloses whatever illness they are suffering from to the public. I find that weird considering that, unless the illness has serious outward symptoms, it has never seemed to occur to you that you wouldn't actually know that a celebrity had a disease unless they chose to tell you. Yet you write about it as though it is a given that every celebrity will immediately announce all their health problems to the world.

I really don't know or care either way if she has Lupus, but you have some faulty logic there.
How is it not seen as credible? Just because someone never comes out to confirm or deny that they have a disease, doesn't mean they don't have it. The whole "I am pretty sure if she did, she would act like any celebrity" makes no sense whatsoever. People are individuals, celebrities or not. Some people don't want to be "champions" for a cause or a disease, just because they are affected by it. Some people just like to be left alone, and to have some privacy. Medical issues are a very private matter. I know I don't go around telling everyone I meet what medical conditions I have; I certainly wouldn't want the entire world to know if I were a celebrity. If you are a celebrity afflicted with an illness, you do not automatically have to spend all your time trying to raise awareness and funding for it, just because you are famous. That's a ridiculous concept.
There is no scientific data that establishes a link between aging and Lupus? It's called the link between aging and suffering from ANY long term illness. You put stress on your body, you tend to age faster. You have no problem attributing marital problems to her aging, yet you scoff at the idea that a person suffering from a disease like Lupus might age more rapidly?
As I said, I really don't know or care if she does actually suffer from Lupus, but your reasoning behind why you know she doesn't have it doesn't have any basis in logic.

as to her health issues, why is this lupus thing still seen as credible, she has never adressed the issue, she has never denied nor confirmed 5b4I am pretty sure if she did suffer from that Lupus thing, she would act like any celebrity, be champion of its cure, with a foundation that fund raise to give money to research ways to cure it since she hasn't done that, let's stop that Lupus non sense
Jasmine got old maybe because of smoking or marital problem but Lupus? No there is any no scientific data establishing the link between excessive aging and lupus!
