Having most recently directed the Atlanta debut of Katori Hall's Broadway hit, "The Mountaintop," Jasmine Guy has repeatedly revealed her unmatched talent as a director. In other Atlanta theater productions, including "Brownie Points," "For Colored Girls.," "The Bluest Eye," "I Dream," "The Colored Museum," and most recently "The Mountaintop," Jasmine Guy creates the most powerful images on stage, and has clearly set a specific pace in order to bring the words of each playwright to life. It is so clear that she is an actress, because as a director, she communicates her interpretation of the play to her actors efficiently, while allowing them to bring their own natural instincts to the performance. Also a dancer and choreographer, Jasmine Guy makes sure the plays she directs are also conveyed through strong movement choices. She is incredible, and I will continue to go see any show she directs!
