Great idea and I think she would be great in it. Think of all the great publicity too with her playing her mother's role. Instead we have J-Lo ruining another movie.

I like the original movie too, I hope there isn't a remake. She thinks he's her husband when he has sex with her, which is rape. At least, I'm pretty sure that they have sex when she still had amnesia. Because of that, I'm surprised it's being remade.
Again, I like the movie and can overlook that because it's not real.

I'm just finding out now that "Overboard" is being remade. Why? The original isn't that old of a movie. Yes, Kate Hudson would be a better Joanna.

Yeah, except that kind of defeats the point of a remake, doesn't it? A NEW take on an original movie? Kate has a lot in common voice and looks wise with Goldie (mostly the hair color and body but still). Better her than Jennifer obviously, but they actually have almost the exact same face.
I'd go for January Jones. She has great comedic timing, is far better an actor than people want to give her credit for, pulls off the rich brat look well, and is of course very attractive.

That's just great. Hollywood messing around with another one of my favorities from my youth. I hope they fail miserably. Leave the 1987 original alone and do something original for a change!

I really don't see Jennfer Lopez being able to do that role She has always been the poor Latina girl or the help who happens to be so sweet the main guy (always a rich white guy) falls for her. They need a good comedic actress, though, one who can carry a film.
Kate Hudson would be great, simply because it would pay homage to the original.

This is one of my favourite movies. Hopefully they don't remake it because it's fine the way it is but I would love to see Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughtey do it. They have great chemistry on screen.
