I am glad he didn't get it. Hayden and the Jake kid have no career whatsoever. I guess the same could be said of JJ in some people's eyes but he is talented.

I don't really think it would have made a difference who played Anakin in the prequels. The writing and directing of the prequels was so awful that even the best of actors couldn't elevate it. Anyone playing Anakin with that level of garbage to be forced to work with would have been screwed.

Leonardo DiCaprio should have gotten the role. Lucas was considering him but he thought it would detract from the film considering Leo is now Oscar nominated and Lucas is a joke its obvious Lucas made a bad decision.

Jonathan is lucky he didn't get the role. He also claims he didn't want it due to the typecasting issue.
All 3 of the movies were HORRIBLE! Lucas should of left the saga alone.

He's 5'8", that's a little too short to be the tall intimating Darth Vader, who in the first three original movies was played by David Prowse who is 6'5", Hayden Christensen is supposed to be a young version of Anakin Skywalker and stands at 6'1". I assume Anakin Skywalker grew 4 more inches when we see him years later as Darth Vader.
Johnathan Jackson is shorter than Ewan McGregor who is 5' 10".

Agree! George Lucas screwed the pooch on that casting decision.
