Claire Skinner is talented, no doubt about it, but her performance in Naked is truly dreadful. For an example of Leigh's unfortunate tendency toward broad caricature, look no further. Crutwell too to some extent.
Thewlis, definitely, though. He, Imelda Staunton, and Brenda Blethyn were only given one big role in one of his movies, but they're among the most memorable in his ouvre.
Broadbent has only made one film with Leigh since Topsy-Turvy, and I'd like them to collaborate a few more times. With a more meaty part for Broadbent perhaps than his character in Another Year.

Pretty much all of those that have been mentioned, and one actress that hasn't been listed is Lesley Sharp, who needs another good film part.
Interesting that for his current film most of the cast are Leigh first-timers.

I would like to see David Thewlis and Sally Hawkins in the same film. Leigh brought two of the greatest performances ever in film history from them.

Timothy Spall's been terrific in everything I've seen him in, it'd be great to see him work with Leigh again.

There are a bunch of actors I want to see him employ in his films and those are unknown actors. He should cast new unknown actors in his every next film and never have the same actor perform another role in any film following a previous one.

I would love to see Roth and Oldman just because i hate most of the stuff they make in AMerica. They deserve better.
I also agree with those that mentioned Horrocks.

Crutwell was atrocious in 'Naked'.
