So, this guy has basically become a holiday director, making somewhat cookie-cutter romcoms that practically nobody ever watches, first 'valentine's day', then 'new year's eve' and now there's allegedly a 'mother's day' film in the works? Is this what hollywood has come to?
I don't seek to diminish the films by any means; I watched valentine's day merely for the star power involved and it wasn't bad, but not very memorable, and still haven't watched (nor know if I'll watch) new years eve, because in a way, it's more of the same a third film just feels like too much regardless of the films being officially related to each other or not.
He could try and mix it up or just quit while he's ahead (although being 'ahead' for him no longer applies) instead of producing film after film dealing with the same storyline over and over only with a change of setting and/or probably a different location

They probably thought Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston could carry the movie with their star power. Unfortunately, Roberts and Aniston (two very limited actresses to begin with) are getting up there and their star power ain't what it used to be.

Valentine's Day made a bunch of money, leading to New Year's Day. Not sure why Mother's Day was made when NYD didn't do great business.

I want him to do April Fool's Day next! Throw in all the old comedians that are still alive Have a speach like "
April Fool's Day teaches us to laugh at things that would normally make us cry
" and have everyone in the movie go "
It must be April Fool's Day!
"

If he's happy to do the work and there is an audience for the films why stop? He's happy to do it, the actors are happy, & the fans of the films are happy. Why judge? Let them be and we'll5b4 enjoy the films that we do and not worry about those we don't. Just sayin'
