Anthony Minghella was one of the most talented and gifted directors and this was shown in his films from The English Patient, The Talented Mr Riply, Cold Mountain and Breaking and Entering.
I found The English Patient and Cold Mountain absolutely brilliant movies and it showed how fantastic Anthony Minghella was as a writer as well as a producer and director.
He will be sadly missed in the world of cinema film and television and I definitely feel that he went before his time because he had so much more to offer the movie going public but we are lucky that Anthony has left us a legacy and a body of work which fans can watch over and over again.
I'm looking forward to seeing the final two movies which Anthony was producing before his untimely death which should be released in late 2008 and 2009 and I will be purchasing his movies from The English Patient onwards.
R.I.P. Anthony Minghella
Gone but not forgotten and thank you for the excellent movies.
