I loved that film, I obsessed over it when it first came out. I've over ten times and I'll see it ten more before this year's out. I looked at his filmography after hear the news and the films that I noticed were, Cold Mountain, The English Patient but The Talented Mr. Ripley really stands out. His other lesser know films will know be studied like his masterpieces, I gave Breaking and Entering a 10 back in December, not because it's that great, it is very good, but it deserves a higher rating as do the rest of his films.

I love it, too. It's too sad that we'll never see another Minghella masterpiece and we've lost a fantastic ambassador for British Film, Theatre & Opera. He was so talented, it's ridiculous.
Yet by all accounts he was the nicest guy in the businessit's so tragically unfair.
Come over to the Talented Mr Ripley board and watch all the latecomers jump on the bandwagon. How it's not in the imdb top 100 I will never know. But I'm not sure I'll be able to watch it again without a lump in my throat.
