i miss Brandy. i guess you can call me a Brandy Fan however iam just more a casual Fan. if i hear her on radio or her music playing. i guess i was more of a fan of hers during her peak of fame, when she was doing moesha and boy is Mine period.
But since then i haven't really heard much from her. I haven't really seen her on TV or on the spotlight very much except for her car accident. LOL. thats the only thing i've seen about her is her car accident thing. Other than that i haven't seen much from her
iam reading her IMDB board and i know she released some new songs from Human and i downloaded them on itunes however i still kinda miss those days. I haven't even seen any video clips she's made for the singles she released in the last 5+ years as they weren't playing on mainstream tv shows. I Guess i miss the 90's where people like Brandy & TLC & Aaliyah was a mainstream and when she was a huge star.
where is she??? Brandy come back in the spotlight. i miss you.
As i said, iam not one of those Huge or obsessed brandy fans who follow Brandy news on a daily basis so for me.. it just seems she disappeared!
to some of you who follow her obviously you guys would have a different opinion and say ohh she attended this award show or that because u guys follow her around.
my view is just more of a casual view on things.

Anyways I got that you were talking recent success..
I think its a combination of things. She was hugely successful as a teen but being so sheltered and hovered over by her mother, it
stifled her ability
to go from teen superstar to an adult superstar. I think for a long time she had trouble trying to figure out how to express herself as an adult, almost like she couldn't quite break away from that pageant like personality a lot of child stars develop for the public. I also think that contributed to her lying about the marriage before child .
She wanted that perfect image in tact
and didn't want to stray from the all American girl formula. Unfortunately it had the opposite effect when the truth came out. Personally i think it was really F'ed up and dirty of her childs father to put her on bast like thatF him!
I don't think she or her career recovered from that betrayal and embarrassment!
Then the horrible traffic accident that happened wasn't handled quickly enough PR wise . Her team needed to get out in front of the story to shape the narrative and direction of public opinion. Too many rumors and
people coming out with false details while she stayed quiet. She really was torn up and hurting behind it so I understand why she hid but, her team should have done better by her.
And honestly I think ray J's antics and sex tape
sucked some of the oxygen out
out of her career also
. He's too closely associated with her, he was always in the background but too visible. He annoys a lot of people and just so much of a talker and bragger. I think the negative vibes he gives out clouded other peoples judgement of her. Plus the fallout from the kardshians basically smearing her whole family in the media despite Kim being the thief who stole from brandy and her mom. The media and most Americans will always automatically side with the white girl and, her white tears whether its fair or not. Then you had Kim pushing the story that she was the innocent victim of the evil black man who tricked her into making the tape and selling it without her knowledge. Those wicked gypsy bitches played that beautifully while ray j was too busy worried about himself and showing off. I cannot stand that idiot
So all of those things combined
made for the perfect downfall !
Sure no one stays on top forever but brandy was queen of the 90's and could have transitioned into being as big of star as an adult easily with the right team and, without all those unfortunate roadblocks. The girl has been through a lot and has been very hurt by alot of people. I'm just glad she survived and held It together for her daughter. She has also humbled herself , changed and, grown into a beautiful person inside and out. I think she's found herself and finally knows who she is as a grown woman.
And we all know its harder for black men and women to get second chances at superstardom after misshaps in their careers.
But she's still young so maybe she'll be back on top one day!
I wish her the best
