Love Patti, and love L&O Criminal Intent. It was a kick seeing Patti as the Classics Professor and old friend of Bobby's, lending some expertise on the episode titled, appropriately, "Icarus".
Very cool.

That she was good in this is no surprise to me. She is so good at everything else she does.

She's a good actor and so natural in appearance that she gives a dose of reality to her work in all media.
So true. You know, when her scene initially popped up, I was like, OMG that's Patti Smith, how totally cool. Then as the scene endedb68, I thought, "nah, Patti doesn't do TV or movies, she sings, writes songs, books, and poetry; this actress just looks like Patti. But I came to her board on IMDB, and saw the media clip about her being nervous about her appearance on L&O Criminal Intent, and I thought, "I'll be damned".
I agree Patti needs to be in more "stuff" on TV, in movies or both. She was refreshingly natural.

Me TOO! I was so thrilled to see her on L&O: CI. She's a good actor and so natural in appearance that she gives a dose of reality to her work in all media. Her beauty is so different from mainstream and "popular" work that I don't think enough of us recognize her possibilities as an actor. I wonder if she is friends with V. Donofrio? Also, the show credit isn't listed here!
