Maura was so perfect for parenthood! I'll still watch, because the movie was one of my childhood fav'sI'm just so bummed Maura won't be in it. I'm curious if we'll be able to see the original pilot. Once she recovers it would be awesome (if parenthood lasts) if they created a role for her.
I would love to see some of the originals too! Esp. that guy who I always used to confuse with Robert Downey Jr. What about the son "Cool"? Mary Steenburgen.so lovable! I'll stop there but wow, there's no way it can be as good as the movie. (joaquin/Leaf, Steve Martinetc) Here's to hoping it's new, different, and goodand that Tierney will show up again soon!

I came here to say pretty much the same thing. The show would be substantially better with Maura. I often fast-forward Sarah's scenes, because Lauren Graham is just irritating to me.

I'm watching the pilot to Parenthood right now and to be honest it's really hard to watch because I keep seeing Lauren Graham and thinking it should be Maura. And the actresses are so different! I was soooo looking forward to this show when the promos came out last summer. Now, I don't know that I'll really able to keep watching very frustrating.

Man, I'm thinking the exact same thing. I hate watching all of this stuff and seeing all of the similarities. I think Maura would have been a perfect addition to the show It's such a bummer.
I think I can make it if they don't try and butcher the Cowboy Dan bit. Oh Steve. there's just no replacing him 🙂
