In the last 5 years no one ever mentions her anymore. I still think about her and her music and sometimes I see a young actress who looks like a young Shania Twain and I will make this comment in front of friends and family and they will give me a blank look like they've forgotten who Shania Twain is and they wonder why I'm mentioning her. The same thing usually happens when I mention Shania Twain online, again, I get no response. It seems to me that her name recognition has simply collapsed.

She just had a nationally televised special. What does that tell one about her fame, or lack of it?

She's probably not too worried, as her net worth is estimated to be well over $300 million. How's Walmart been treating you lately?
What Shania Twain is worried about or not is not the question.
What her worth is is not the question. Her fame is the issue.
Do not deflect onto the questioner, srklondie, by asking how they are doing
financially, because it's not about them.
In fact, your post is really inv16d0alid, because you didn't address the topic at
hand: the fame.
Go ahead and delete your post so you don't have nonsense left behind.

She is making her comeback right now, though. Starting with "Why Not? With Shania Twain" (a reality show on OWN). She released a new single - Today Is Your Day and recorded Endless Love with Lionel Richie and made music videos for both songs. Then she received her star on the walk of fame. And now she's doing a three-year long Vegas run at Caesar's Palace starting in December. I've looked for tickets for the first couple of weeks of shows and they're all sold out - good sign! So hopefully she's on her way back to being in the spotlight!

She seemed to have just dropped off the radar completely after promotion for
Up
. She hasn't released an album in almost a decade and I guess people just moved on
. Lots of people still remember her but most heard her albums over and over. They were huge during the day.
