i love that song! i remember back when it came out, it was sooo popular wb68here i lived. I was like 12 and everyone and their mama loved that song. But i don't remember ever paying attention to the actual lyrics of the song. To me, it was all about the beat, the dance (from her vid), i remember by the ending of the song, everyone breaks out into this dance just like in the vid (which i haven't seen for like a decade, actually!) well anyway, now that i just recently downloaded this song, i've been paying attention to the lyrics and realize that i LOVE the lyrics.. maybe even more than the actual song!! Am i the only one? Did Shania write this song herself? Also, some of her other songs are equally brilliant like that wedding one, i also like "don't give up on me" (the video for that is beautiful, btw!).
i'd rather be his whore than your wife

I hate that song. If a man sang, "any woman of mine better walk that line" and "I can be late for a date but she'd better be on time" and so forth he would be labeled a sexist pig. I can only imagine how women would react to something like that. Rappers degrade women all the time though and people still buy that misogynistic crap. I guess turnabout is fair play, but I still hate that song.

The verse "Don't Give Up on Me" is titled "Don't", it's in her Greatest Hits CD.
"A caring mom makes a hot wife"
