He's a great actor and has the looks. How come he never became a box office draw like Denzel or Will Smith? Pelican Brief with Julia and Blair, that would have worked. A lot of the movies Denzel made, i thought Blair would have done just as well in them. Did Denzel take all his roles? Just kidding, but seriously, I've always wondered if it was by choice, or if they simply passed him over on big mainstream movies.

That kinda answers the question, he's too nice for super stardom. He's not a scientologist like Will Smith which seems to help people like Tom Cruse who I don't get one bit.

Hey,
Did you know that Blair Underwood is a true blue humanitarian and and AIDS Activists. He is such an inspiration and genuine person. He is also a member of a non-profit organization called Artists for a New South Africa check out their website www.ansafrica.org and I also found this really inspirational website on-line. Its an on-line auction and all the proceeds go to orphaned south african children and also to help fight against HIV/AIDS. So why not shop while doing a good deed. They have celebrity experiences, sports memorabilia, and hollywood swag and all are being auctioned for a good cause. Check it out yourselves. http://www.charityfolks.com/ansa

He's got an equally lucrative career as a writer(more than 1 random adventure into the realm of publishing, unlike many actors)and quite frankly seems to have gone out of his way to pursue roles atypical of the lime-light grabbing upstart. Something that is to be admired
