I am pretty sure that the showrunner has tweted that he lived. I don't know when/if he might come back for another episode. I sure hope he does.

He may have just have small walkons in the episodes leading up to s2e5 to introduce his character, but in that episode, Friday 3/28 he is simply phenomenal.
No fan of Jonathon will want to miss it. Trust me.

Yeah, saw him too and figured he was going to have a bigger role in that episode. Found it strange he did a cameo but might have just done it as a favor or happened to be on set.
