OK we all know LV is fabulously beautiful, but why won't Hollywood give this girl a break? She just got screwed o1354ut of E-Ring? What next? They had to replace her with a blonde (according to a Chilean magazine)!?!? Are any of the brain-dead goons who masquerade as TV & film executives aware that ther are 50,000,000 (yes 50,000,000 - fifty million) Hispanics in the US??? Maybe they should be looking to replace some of the dumb blondes who populate, in the main, TV & film, with (and if absolutely necessary - dumb) Latinas!!!

"I find her acting isn't good enough to merit a 'big break' "
My thoughts exactly.
I am sure she's a wonderful person, I can see her physical appeal - but her acting is just not very good. I wouldn't necessarily call it "terrible" (but only because I am a very nice person ;)) - though it may have something to do with the writing of her roles. (The "Cleopatra" thing was preposterously ridiculous - the writing for her role, I mean.)
Be it as it may, I think that if she hasn't really made it big by now it certainly wasn't for lack of "breaks".

A break? If you look at her filmography, she's already worked with thirty-two projects; cameo or more. That's no small feat. She's got nine products dated 2006+. That's 28% - more than 1/4 of her work!
Right now, she's the "Babe of the week":
http://msn.foxsports.com/other/pgStory?contentId=5609578
As far as E-ring went, that's because of a misfire. Bruckheimer discovered E-ring wasn't going to fly as-is and cosmetic surgery had to be performed ASAP. He's got a good track record and something which had a lot of resources applied to it (in advance), meaning something was wrong. Although some might have thought he was rearranging chairs on a sinking ship, but someone with his credentials are going to hit a bump the road periodically and knowing when to intervene.
If you'd like to see an interesting, but sad, show, take a look at this one:
http://imdb.com/board/10098772/plotsummary
. Trust me, it wasn't the worst stinker, no matter what the summaries say. I could likely go back and look at things year-by-year and dredge up memories of the ones which were excellent candidates for the compost pile.
(If I heard something was as bad as the example I listed above, I'd probably tune in once just to see how bad it was and something to discuss about the "bad 'ole days". Today, there's so much money attached to a show [that] finishing midway on list of TV rankings will get yanked an reruns of an existing show. Because so many successful shows are pitted against each other, it provides the means for those who aren't watchers, but are curious about it (and don't want to Tivo/DVR it). Those 1::1 duels don't have a predictable outcome. "Without a Trace" started doing well enough on Thursday night (against ER) it was moved to another night (Sunday?)
As a result of the financial end of things, it's more difficult than ever to get a pilot ordered, stat analysis, and pushed onto the schedule. Sometimes, lightning strikes in someone's brain and they'll order episodes without a pilot.
For me, as a first-time idea man for TV shows[1] and commercials, I know it's going to be an uphill battle, particularly be cause I'm not close to either coast. Fortunately, I know someone who has a contact for me. Also, I have a day job. I have no interest in becoming a starving artist. Unless the bottom drops out of the software market.
[1] So far, I've got solid ideas which I believe I can develop appropriately. Unfortunately, scripts are something I've never written before. I've done a lot of writing in a lot of areas, including some who might wonder how it's relatient to the development process. Right now, I have ideas for seven dramas, a reality TV show, and a game show. The biggest problem is breaking into the game. You are always gauged on the "What have you done for me lately?" If you haven't done anything [yet], how can you fulfill that question? I've researched all of the science side of it. Now I just have to learn the art side!
Before I forget: if you want to see completely inane plots, you should see what's on pro.imdb.com. Someone will post they're looking for new products. People will post all sorts of weird stuff. And most of it smells about the same way the manure spreader did (growing up in a rural area) on a hot day.

#2: "Similar to #1, but it's a teacher who is shot (and dies). The teacher's identical twin is hired to teach the [same] class. The students don't understand what's happened. They saw their teacher die and yet he's standing before them in the front of the class. The teacher can't see his twin's ghost but the students can. Unaware twins are involved, the students can't figure out how their teacher will have a human body and a ghost and are afraid enough they behave and exceed expectations in the classroom."
#3: "The Patty Duke Show had two cousins who looked like identical twins. This show will have identical cousins, but they'll be black; one will be blind, the other is deaf."
#4: "Turning 'The Shaggy Dog' into a weekly series where we see the adventures of a dog who can turn themselves into a human because of a small, magic, amulet on his collar, attached by a neighbor with a mysterious background. This unusual person can only crawl on her hands and knees. She can't stand up, she can't sit up, and appears to be fixed in a doglike position. Not only that, but she has to eat & drink out of a dog's bowl, hinting she must have some very unusual secrets in order to transform the opposite of this dog behavior into a human.."
#5: A weekly adventure about a woman who was born wit

You have to understand that Chile is a country that has recieved an enormous amount of immigrants: first the spanish arrived to colinize the originary people, they mixed and they are as for now the mayority of the population. However, other smaller gruops of immigrants also came to Chile: germans, eastern europeans, arabs, french, etc.
I'm a good example: I was born in Chile, so were my parents, but I'm of spanish, german and russian descent. Still, I'm a 100% Chilean (and proud of it), both legally and emotionally.
So, Leonor was born in Chile, has Chilean parents, but has lived around the world. Maybe she has hungarian ancestry. She is Chilean, but obviously she idenitfies with the other cultures where she has spent the mayority of her life.
