First: the best actor on Fringe is John Noble(the nutty professor, so to speak), hands downyour assessments of the other cast members are also wrongit just took a few episodes to write material they work best with..as for being fired, it may have been a Fox cost-cutting move but Kirk does reappear in later episodes as the alternative version of himself at least another dozen times, so nb68ot entirely written out or at least it was not because of any sort of personal or combative issues

Given the finale, I think it's very possible we'll see him in S3 as well. I missed Charlie, it was good seeing him again, so I hope so!

Well watching looks like he wasn't fired, he did come back at the end of season 2 in the alt-verse.

That was a bad mistake, firing him. I thought he and the other actors on "Fringe" seemed to go together and play off each other ve5b4ry well. Does anyone know if it was just the producers idea or was it the cast. It seems that he and the rest of the cast got along pretty good. I was hoping they would bring him back. I hope it wasn't personal, sometimes they have to lose one of the cast and he was it.
I think it is a shame because I liked Charlie. I have been in the Army and his character is one you would definitely want to watch you back. I thought they were going to bring him back and I wish they would. Anna Tova reminds me more of Laura Prepon than Kate Blanchet.

Anna torv is great, Acevedo only does one thing well, and thats Broody, I don't understand where all the hate for theese characters comes from, seriously, perhaps it's just fanboy whine, I mean, it must be for people to think Kirk is this good, seriously in Fringe all he ever did was wander around giving obtruse looks.
I liked him, he had mertis, i'm sad he's gone, but i'm sure as hell not about to stop watching the best, and most intense show on tv just cuz kirk isn't in it anymore. I used to think 24 was the best, but after 8 seasons it hasn't evolved at all.

They also moved the show to Canada, he may not have wanted to live in Canada for several months doing the show. Television shows always make cast changes after the first season. The list of actors replaced on a series either after several episodes or the first seaso111cn is quite lengthy.

I am physically sickened by what they did to his character on this show. This is basically what they did on Heroes with Sylar and Nathan Patrelli.

Why would ABC have any say about who gets fired on a FOX television show?, there is a new female FBI agent, but the last time I check the show is expensive to produce, and regardless of what they say in the news the economy hasn't turned around and a lot of shows have cut cast members to save money.

Did we see the Season Opener show? It does indeed have "Charlie" in the episode..however

But to be honest, I liked good charlie. I'm not keen on him being evil. I didn't like the ending.

I was already pissed off at the end of the ep when he turned into a bad guyI was starting to like his character. Though indeed it is weird seeing him here and in Band of Brothers.
