I don't see it for a couple reasons

1. His age,Idris Elba is a fan favorite and has been dubbed too old,Scott is only a few years younger than Elba. Before anybody brings up Daniel Craig's current age,he was 37 in his first film,Roger Moore 5b4tried playing Bond late in the game and many people thought he was too old(Moore Himself too). I am sure potenial candidates will be mid or late 30s
2. His career hes known mostly for his DTV work and a little character acting on the side. He would need to at least get a couple theatrical lead roles or at least bigger character roles in theatrical films than what he has already done.

They already have a new bond lined up. Adkins needs to establish some good roles before taking over a major cultural character icon.

Most of the Bonds (including Connery and Craig) weren't really big names before playing Bond.It could be a breakout role for Scott.

You think he'd fit in the shoes of Connery, Moore, Craig etc?
Sure, Scott Adkins is cool and I'd love a Bond who can fight, but a Bond who can act would be nice too.
