According to Deadline, Aja is set to direct a live action version of 'Cobra, The Space Pirate'. Good, if he gets a lot of money.
But who should he cast to portray Cobra?
Belmondo being a bit too old
My first idea would be Mark Ruffalo.

Yes it is still happening, but it's a big budget, something like 150$ millions, so Aja said in a french magazine it's going to take a long time for finding money, he also said with this budget he have to find a big star and all of them are stucked in others productions for the 5 next years.

I love Thomas Jane too, But I guess he's not young enough anymore, don't you think ?
I also think he's not "bankable" enough since Cobra is supposed to be a heavy budget flick.
That's why I thought of C. Pine, who can be a comedian and a handsome/athletic action guy also.
I kind of liked him in Kirk's role, although I hated the story of J.J.A. Star Trek movie.

It doesn't surprise me , Cobra in France is a cult manga , it used to be shown on TV in the early 80's and since it has become one of the most loved anime in France.Aja seem to be a nostalgic type a guy and from his age , there is no doubt he grew up watching it
