I say we kill Michael Bay, and just give the horror genre to Aja. The man can do anything. "High Tension" was great. His remake of "The Hills Have Eyes" was better than the original, and that was tough to do. "P2" is one of the most underrated thrillers made, and "Mirrors" was the first American movie based on an Asian movie that I really really enjoyed.
He gets horror. He develops the characters and focuses on the interactions leading up to the suspense and horror.
He is what mainstream hollywood needs, and thank God they have him.

The fact that Aja exists and keeps making abysmal movies is the proof that there is no God.
He's so tragically bad, he makes Michael Bay seem amazing.
