You realize the man is 80 years old right? Most men his age will have lost minimum 2", if not 3" from their peak. He was 5'11" and could be between 5'8" or 5'9" today. If you had met him 35 + years ago, I assure you, you would have been looking up to him in height. People SHRINK as they age.

Met him and he's not tall at all actually. He's 5'8 same height as me.
