On the "Halloween: 25 Years of Terror" DVD, Tom Atkins talks about working with hot co-stars (ex: Jamie Lee Curtis, Stacy Nelkin). He stated the he was in his early 30s when he made "The Fog" which shot in '79 (released in '80), according to IMDB: if born in '35, he woul'dve been mid-forties around that timetotal mistake.

I think it's correct. I met Tom Atkins at Monster Mania yesterday and he was telling me about being in my area in 1958 when he was in the Navy, so I don't think he was 13 at the time. 23 would sound about right.
