Yeah, unfortunately a lot of his scenes that were originally intended for
Saw 3D
got cut out when the producers forced the writers to radically alter their script.
Story goes that
Saw 3D
was originally a 2-part film (Allegedly called:
Saw: The Final Chapter Part 1
and
Part 2
), and they were writing both of them at the same time. But then the studio panicked due to the lower-than-expected box-office numbers from
Saw VI
, and forced the writers to cobble together their two scripts into one, so a significant amount of the storyline, characterization and development had to be ejected.
Some of the differences I know of between the intended 2-movie vision and the final film:
-Jigsaw and Dr. Gordon were going to be revealed to have set-up the Public Trap from the beginning (meaning it happened sometime between
Saw
and
Saw II
)
-The first part was mainly going to revolve around Bobby Dagen
-The big twist in part 1 was Hoffman being in the body-bag, leaving it on a cliffhanger
-Part 2 would focus mainly on Hoffman hunting down Jill in the police station (so it was more of a slow-build slasher movie), with the B-storyline being about what happened to Gordon after escaping as told through flashbacks
-The big twist of part 2 would be revealing that not only was Gordon in on it the entire time, but so were several of the other survivors (ex. The two Pig-Heads from the finale were originally supposed to be the two men from the opening trap, and it was implied that several other survivors were also in on it)
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

Well Put. I guess VI he had more screen time than IV or V. Thats just what I think tho, I wish he had more scenes in 3D that was SOOO annoying.

I think he had roughly the same amount of screentime in II and III. One of the lead characters who gets plenty of scenes in those two films. His roles in later entries are relegated more-or-less to brief appearances
in flashbacks due to his character's death in III. After III, he got a few big scenes during IV, V and VI but wasn't1ebc the main focus as much as before, and his role in VII/3D was basically just two short scenes that were more glorified cameos than anything else.
