Jigsaw/ John Kramer is number 19 in this YouTube Horror Icons Top 50. What do you think about it, is he too low or way too high and is Jigsaw a true horror icon or is it too soon to say so, for he's only been around for a few years?
Jigsaw:
Love to hear what you think.

In around the world in 80 days he shows up near the very end where the main villain goes on a rant telling everyone that no one can stop him then after he says "you?" For the 3rd time then you'll see Tobin in a top hat and a mustache displaying a surprised look in his face. Keep an eye out and try not to blink. By the way he's not credited.

Agreed, I think Jigsaw should definetely be on the list. He's iconic. I'd rate him a little higher than that though. "Let the games begin", "Live or die, you choose.", "Suffering? You haven't seen anything yet." He's quotable too!
"I am the ultimate badass, you do not wanna
*beep*
wit' me!" Hudson in Aliens.

I'd say he deserves to be higher, absolutely.
Although, in truth he isn't exactly a villain in the traditional sense,
he is indeed scary character.
But he doesn't do what he does to gain anything for himself, he really wants to "help" people appreciate life.
I have however never understood how he justifies some of the collateral damage.
Was Zep really instructed to Kill Dr Gordon's wife and child, or merely to scare Lawrence into thinking so..?
Nevertheless, he is absolutely an horror-icon, and a really good one at that.
We rarely that deep into the minds of our villains(All I know about Jason is he's a mommas boy for instance)
so Jigsaw gets a real personality, and we get to see what drove him there.
And like any good villain he's packed with recognisable trademarks,
whether it be Tobin's own trademark voice, his appearance, "tools of the trade"
(I simply love that the reversed bear-trap was once of the first devices we ever saw, but that we didn't get to see it in its "full glory" until the last movie)

I believe he belongs on the list, although if it were up to me, I'd rank him higher. Not much higher, but a little bit higher.
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

Definitely iconic. Sustained a movie series of seven films in seven years (Hoffman had his moments but it wasn't him that we went to the movies to see; arguably it was even more him than the traps), had an interesting gimmick (the traps), brought something new to the table (his unique sense of morality), spawned a number of derivative movies that used the gore but missed what really made the main villain work.

Jigsaw's definitely a horror icon, I don't think it really matters how long Jigsaw's been around for, it's the effect he's had on the genre and the acclaim etc. and now he's actually been around for a while, seven years. Freddy and Jason had horror icon status by that point I'm sure, and being number 19 out of 50? I'd say that's a pretty fair spot though personally I'd maybe rate him a little higher.
"What's his fcking problem?"
"He wants to be President."

I think he should be higher. The Saw franchise is our generations best horror franchise in my opinion and Jigsaw is an incredible villain.

I am going to have a girly momenthe was adorable in the hoodie in "SAW 3D", I am even going to giggle about it gigglestold ya.
I guess I should address this topic. I do believe he can be considered an icon in the Jigsaw role because he has had such a huge part in the series and has been embraced as such. I can't really think of much right now to back my opinion up but I'll revisit this at another time when I can. Jigsaw rules and so does Tobin, that's all that needs to be said right now, haha!

He could be a thriller or gore icon, but a not horror one, simply because Saw saga is not horror, but rather the other two genres.

Definitely an icon, top 20, but top 15 or better is a bit flattering. Let's see where this franchise goes in the next few movies, and then we can consider top 15. The first film is just amazing though, one of my top 10 favorite films from this millennium!
If a machine, a
Terminator,
can learn the value of a life, maybe we can too . . .
