<p dir="auto">i used to be obsessed with the 70's actors that, reading an article/interview from Blake in my parents Reader Digest, he said he had his break to become like Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, etc…<br />
At the time I only knew him from Baretta and was like… what the hell is this guy thinking, to compare himself to those legends…<br />
then i saw IN COLD BLOOD and knew exactly what he was talking about…<br />
it's not only one of the great movies ever made, with a non-linear approach that would become commonplace in decades to come, but, it's truly one of the greatest performances of all time, a cross between vicious villain and sympathetic loser…<br />
Scott Wilson and Robert Blake are really great in that movie…<br />
Electra Glide in Blue, his first big movie where he's a cop, followed by Busting and then TV's Baretta, pretty much… that was that, but…<br />
see IN COLD BLOOD for proof of his talent; which when people bag on how Eric Roberts turned out I always say, STAR 80…<br />
