I may get flamed for thisand I can't believe I'm actually saying it myself!but I sort of relate to Robert Blake to a certain extent. Yes, he's unhinged and all that, but I doubt he's truly an evil person. I get why he's so touchy. This is a sick, psychologically damaged soul who has lived a lonely, empty, loveless life throughout his 79 years. His parents neglected him. He's had problems with relationships(friendships & marriages) throughout his life. He only felt/feels genuine love and acceptance from his "fans". No matter how you feel about him, he's lived a pretty sad life. I'm willing to cut him a break. I'm very surprised I don't hate the guy more after tonight's Piers Morgan interview. The fact he admits his shortcomings humanizes him somewhat. I feel more sorry for him than I hate him. The man needs TONS of therapy, obviously.

Yes, I kind of agree. I just recognized him in TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE and recently saw him in HUMORESQUE (playing the young John Garfield) and he was such an adorable kid.

I, too, feel kinda sorry for him. And, regardless of whether Blake did do it, I definitely find him more sympathetic than Bakley. Not that she deserved to die, but lifelong scam artists are playing with fire. She wanted fame, she got it.

I actually agree with you to a certain degree, but you know that said, "welcome to this thing we call life" for God's sake!!! And feeling "love" from fans is really just a mirror of his narcissism. You quoted fans so I think you know where I am coming from without explanation.
