Low Water Levels at Lake Constance: 103 Bodies now surface?
Around 103 people are believed to be missing in Lake Constance.
Due to low water levels, their bodies could suddenly appear on the surface.
Lake Constance is approximately 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) wide and 63 kilometers (39 miles) long.
Our reporter's drone shows where and how far the bottom of Lake Constance can be seen.
The water police responsible for Lake Constance gave the all-clear regarding those fears.
According to statistics from the neighboring countries, 103 people were missing since 1947, and possibly even more. But the police suspect them in the deep part of the lake, which can reach a depth of 254 meters (278 yards).
Bodies remain on the Bottom
This depth is the main reason why the police believe the bodies will neither surface nor be recovered.
Bodies normally sink to the bottom of the lake and
"in shallower water, they would resurface relatively quickly due to the decomposition process,"
explains a spokeswoman. In this depth, they remain at the bottom.
The police are also aware that the water level in Lake Constance is currently low.
"The water level is currently approximately 40 centimeters (16 inches) below the long-term average for the month of April. The water level was last lower about 40 years ago. Nevertheless, this low level is still far from sufficient to initiate and technically conduct a search for 103 missing people in Lake Constance."

You need put the body in a barrel and drill some holes in it. Maybe add a couple bricks for good measure if you really want to be sure.
A barrel with holes is a nice coffin, but it's heavy and lasts far too long.
And a rusty barrel pollutes the oceans and lakes.
Better to make holes in the corpse, fermentation gases escape, or dismember the body (not at home!).
While this increases the risk of being seen at butcher work, it takes some time.
And little meat packages pose the risk that an angler will discover small bones in fish stomachs. ​
It's still best to burn the corpse hot enough and scatter the ashes.
But who has a crematorium?

A few years ago I had a very useful connection in the field of sulfuric acid.
He would sell me small quantities of acid with no paper trail over a period of time that would eventually add up to a barrel full.
Basically he would siphon off just the right amount that could be accounted for a measuring error and sell it to me bit by bit.
It was a long, laborious process but as I only needed to kill one person and was prepared to spend years planning the murder it made sense for me.
Obviously there are more practical ways to do this especially if you need to dispose of corpses regularly so I'm keen to hear from people who have done this on a larger scale.

Dexter showed us a reasonable way.

Forensics are so good these days that it's very risky to spend longer dissolving a body at home.
If you don't have an ocean nearby (like Dexter) a lake will do.
It must be deep enough, otherwise the body will soon come up again due to the fermentation gases.
In my area is only one lake deep enough. ​
