A quick lookup finds that Delle Bolton was as of a couple of years ago a director of Seven Arrows School in Pacific Palisades, CA. There is no mention of her on their current website so once again she is MIA as far as fans go. The only other info is that her real married name is probably Gloria Delle Bolton Colloff and her mother passed away in 2000 this according to an obituary in a Bogalusa Louisiana newspaper. The article states that Delle's Mom's ashes were scattered at sea in a private ceremony in Santa Monica. Her mom, by the way, was a teacher which might explain how Delle eventually ended up in the education field.
Delle if you're out there please confirm, deny or correct this information and just let us know you are alive and well.

Let her be. If she had wanted her whereabouts to be known, she'd have posted them herself. What gives you the right to invade her privacy?
Just because someone played a character you like in a movie (40 years ago, no less!) doesn't entitle you to act like you're her best friend in real life.

foleyvideo: I believe you found her. I know that at the time Delle made Jeremiah Johnson she was married (and I believe still is) to David Colloff a screen writer and I think that one of the reasons she looked so beautiful in the film was that she was pregnant with her and David's first child. She is not of indian descent but of north eastern russian descent.

Aside from all of the other jibberish on this thread, I wanted to comment on your claim that William Bolton was Gloria Della's "Father". If this is true, how is it that a 59 year old man fathered a child when he was only 4 back in 1952 (when she was born)?
I think you may have gotten the name assoicated with the wrong people who share surnames but not biographies.
I just re-watched Jeremiah Johnson and of course was intrigued by the actress who played Swan. I searched out these boards and found the following in a Spring 2004 alumni magazine for Louisiana College;
I'm fairly sure that William Bolton is Delle Bolton Collof's father. The Louisiana, California and education connections are all there.

Career: American character is changing rapidly, judging from some of the posts here, including yours. What a skillful blend of ignorance, arrogance, and contempt and all in a few ill-chosen words. Congratulations.

It's interesting that someone would wonder about a non-speaking (English that is) dialogued character in a film. I wonder if anyone listed an interest on "The Searchers" film page, about the American Indian character- Wild Goose Flying In The Night Sky, IE- Look.

I don't think it's anything more than just wondering about someone who was in a film that had a tremendous amount of influence on a person. Characters in "classic" (classic..is in the eyes of the beholder) films never age. Like great songs 7ecand some memories, they are timeless. As far as CareercollegestudentI hope you're not making a career out've being in college. I find it interesting how some grow muscles and yack away when they're not in front on the person. It's so easy to mouth off when you're typing on a computer. In the real world, that wouldn't happen, with me anyways. I'd backhand someone across the bean while his girlfriend/wife/boyfriend held my jacket. FYIIMDB says she was just on an episode of "Monk" in 2008. I'll leave this meassage to malinger in cyberspace.
