So, i had the displeasure of meeting Doug Bradley recently at a convention, and was completely let down to find out he's just there to collect your money and go. No, not Pinhead! I didnt expect he would turn out to be one of those snooty types. He wanted nothing to do with anybody that didn't want to pay him $30 for his autograph. My friend and I were in line and I noticed that anybody who came up to him just to say hello and tell him that they enjoyed his performances, he basically lifted his nose at them and said things like "yeah, well" and "okay, yeah." Not even a "thank you" for the praise bequeathed upon him by longtime fans! When my friend and I got up to him, he seemed very serious and I gave him my Hellraiser collectors edition VHS to sign. I gave my $30 to his handler, or wife as I've heard. I told him how much I love the first 2 films, and even the third. He nodded his head but didn't say anything. I asked him if he wanted to play the role again and he said that he had no idea if he would play the role again and he would do it for the right script. I shook his hand and my friend began to tell him how he enjoyed that Hellraiser III was Pinhead's movie and went on to praise him for his portrayal of the character. When he saw that my friend wasn't buying anything and didn't bring anything for him to sign, he quickly turned his head away and looked to the next person inline, totally ignoring the very nice praise that my buddy had just layed on him. He didn't care. He just wanted his $30. There were only 2 or 3 people behind us, so it's not like he didn't have time to chit chat for a bit. I've been to many a convention and this is not the typical reaction I see from actors. Bradley thought he was above everyone else and only wanted to conversate if you wanted to pay him. It's people like him that make going to a convention a disappointment and a disgrace to the people that make a horror icon what they are- the fan. Learn some manners Doug. Be grateful that people want to tell you they enjoy your work, don't turn away from them because they don't have cash in their hand.

I was very surprised to read this. I've met Bradley a couple of times and he is actually high on my list of favorite experiences at horror conventions. I've chatted with him a few times when I wasn't paying him for an autograph, or giving him any cash, and he was polite, attentive, and even humorous.
