"Today's media raises the status and visibility of these killers by putting them on television and in magazines and making them into celebrities," notes Levin. The more exposure they get, the more women seem to flock around them. The last few decades have seen an increasing number of murderers as matinee idols, beginning with Ted Bundy, the handsome law student from Seattle who killed more than 20 women in the 1970s. His trial transfixed the nation, but it especially enthralled Carole Boone, who later married him and gave birth to his child before he was executed. "These women look past the hideous behavior because the killer's a big-shot celebrity and her association with him makes her a celebrity too," says Levin. " - Cosmopolitan Magazine
How did she have sex with him if he was in prison?

I hate it that I would have
To be his daughter
As I would not want that
Being a child of a serial killer.

Did he really have a daughter or are you all joking? I just started reading about him (the Stranger beside me by Ann Rule). I can't imagine knowing someone for 10 years and finding out they are a killer. When I was younger I was more into horror films and hated true crime stuff, now I been reading about true crime and hate horror lol. Must be a phase. Anyway, if it's true about the daughter, she probably wasn't even told or lied to by the mother. Then again, as dumb as the mother was to begin with, she might have known. Wonder what she told everyone. Imagine finding out years later when you're a teenager or an adult that Ted Bundy is your dad shivers.

I hardly think it had anything to do with a "celebrity" status - supposedly prison guards do this all the time, and all it's about is m-o-n-e-y

Wonder if they let Bundy do this
Because he was a "celebrity" or something
As that kind of confuses me.

Yes. Bundy had a daughter, born in 1982, with his wife Carol Ann Boone.
There were no conjugal visits for Bundy, but from what I understand the prisoners would pay the guards to "look the other way".

In the books I've read someone kept a lookout & they were able to have sex. I feel sorry for his daughter though, can't understand what the mother was thinking getting involved with Bundy let alone conceiving a child. From what I've read she really thought Bundy was innocent until just before his execution he offered more information about the killings so his execution date would be postponed. She then took the child & never saw him again, why on earth this information had not filtered through her brain before I'll never know!!!
