The first time I saw him on " Northern Exposure " I said to myself that he sure looks like the guy from " Pale Rider " and I'll be damned if he isn't his son. I
really enjoyed his character a whole lot on N.E. I can't understand why he doesn't get more work. Good looking guy, good actor. So, what's the story? He doesn't strike me as someone who's difficult to deal with.

Yeah, I'd love to know why he hasn't acted more too. It seems like he's acting a lot more lately though, maybe since his kids are getting older he has a lot more free time on his hands. I didn't think the reason he wasn't acting was because he couldn't get work, I thought it was cause he just didn't want to act anymore. I've seen a few of his films- Never Get Outta the Boat, Hi-Lo Countryb68, Class of 1999, Cry Baby- and he wasn't nearly as good of an actor in those films as he was in "Northern Exposure". I thought maybe one of the reasons he stopped acting is cause he didn't feel inspired by a lot of the roles he came across or was offered, and therefore felt like he wouldn't be able to give good performances. I don't know, but it's hard to believe that the reason he hasn't acted much since NX is, like some people have said, because he wanted to be a stay at home dad.
