At nomal volume, at least. thirtysomething's on TV, and while I see no physical resemblance, he sounds like Fox Mulder's brother. Incredibly distracting.
Maybe higher quality would change it, but there is something about the pitch, the way it tweaks, and the way he speaks a bit unclearly.

I was watching The Outer limits episode "under the bed" and was thinking the precise thing!! He sounds just like David Duchovny.
