Open Road has unveiled a new trailer for its Gerard Butler-led action thriller Kandahar, which is slated for a Memorial Day weekend release on May 26th.
The film reteaming Butler with director Ric Roman Waugh on the heels of their work together on 2019 action-thriller Angel Has Fallen and 2020 action-thriller Greenland finds undercover CIA operative Tom Harris (Butler) stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down.
