After he played his show at Brooklyn's Midwood field. They let the cowd onto the field and Cab stayed around for a while shaking hands and greeting his fans. Can you picture any "modern" artists doing that?! A truly fine, fine gentleman. Cab Calloway, Slim Gaillard, and Louis Jordan were the "Coolest Cats"!!

I believe it was 1979 or 1980. Cab was in his late 70's, but still put on a really good show.
