I just read about Dean Cameron's latest project and it is pure genius.
If you get any sort of spam at all, you've surely received the scam where someone says, due to a revolution in their native country, they're unable to get their hands on $30 million that they stashed while working for the government or whatever. The scam changes from e-mail to e-mail, but they all read pretty much the same way.
Anyway, Dean Cameron got one and wrote back and they wrote back to him and he wrote back and back and forth and to and fro and it's really pretty damned funny. So after several dozen e-mails, he decided to make a live performance out of it. It's currently playing at the Sacred Fools Theatre in Hollywood, CA and will be playing until December 18. If I lived anywhere near there I'd check it out unfortunately I already flew 3000 miles to see a show last summer.
Anyway, check out the text it's free and pretty funny!

HIs current project is a new play called "Love Tapes", that will premiere on January 20th also at Sacred Fools. I spoke to him on New Year's Eve, and he said "The Nigerian Spam Scam Scam" will probably return there for another run once "Love Tapes" is done.
I went to see "The Nigerian Spam Scam Scam" a week before it ended its run. I laughed so much and hard, I may have even peed a little. You should go next time it's performed, a must see!
