That paragraph mentions Beau Garret as playing the lead in the Criminal Minds spin off. It the goes on to say "

on the pilot front" before listing other actors, including Freddy, who will also be filming pilots.
The rest of the article goes on to describe the pilots each of those actors will be in.

HmmmI think you might have misread that. Do you know where you read that?
Ive seen nothing that says Freddy will be in a Criminal Minds spin off. Forrest Whitaker is suppose to be in the CM spinoff.

He's probably in the spin-off as a guest actor. I'd rather see him in something refreshing like 'Chaos' (provided that it'd be a great show) than something like 'Criminal Minds'. He ought to stay away from the likes of CSI.
