When I first saw "Songcatcher" one of my favorite parts was that of Viney, played by Miss Pat Carroll.
One of those fine charecter actors who you know well, if not by name, but do not always remember from where.
I know I saw "Cinderella" with her as wicked stepsister "Prunella", and on the 60's game showsbut it sure is hard to place a particular rolewhich I guess is the true beauty and talent of charecter actorsmemorable, yet tending to get lost in the mistyet the parts played bring out the shine of a story.
It is such a joy to see her each time i rewatch "Songcatcher"a sterling role for a stellar actor!

I knew I reconized her in "song". She was one of my favs when I was a kid.
