According to Wikipedia, he and Dustin 'Screech' Diamond didn't get on due to racial tension on the set of Saved by the Bell, aka whatever it was first.
Anyone know the basis for this? Sounds a little odd to say the least

There's a rumour that Diamond's great great uncle was involved with Jewish organised crime, possibly even the Purple Gang, who were known for being particularly hostile to blacks in down town New York areas. I remember I saw an interview with Dustin on some now defunct celebrity chat show where they brought it up, he was a bit sketchy about it but the gist of it was that for the most part they got on well but this history was a source of occasional friction between them.
