finnaly, for the first time, as far as i know, an album from the 1970's by ray charles has been released on cd, i loved it right away. you know the saying you need to listen to a song a few times to get hooked, well i tell you i was hooked on this right away. i don't quite understand why the song "abraham, martin and john" hasn't been on a collection. not that i've come across anyway. i recognised a few songs since before, like "america the beautiful" and "look ma, what they done to my song.". also the original "heaven help us all", that was featured on his last album, i hate saying that. i had no idea that song had been recorded by ray before.
my favorite tracks are "abraham, martin and john", and "i gotta do wrong before they notice me", i also like "heaven help us all".
to make things short, i'm glad they finnaly released a "new" album. maybe in 10 years, while a few american idol kids have come and gone, they b68will release another ray album. here's to the future.
