I love Ray but some of his music/story is seems rather sexist. I was jammin to "I Got a Woman" and heard some line about "a woman's place". I thought some of these sexist thems carried through to the movie as well. I was left wondering why Hollywood was celebrating a man who was terrible to women and burned friends.
Dont get me wrong here, I think Ray Charles had an amazing talent, however it seems there were some things about his personality that were less than appreciable.

He needed something that rhymed. And besides, it goes along with "never running in the streets and leaving me alone."
