Just re-watched the episode in question for the third time and I must agree: this broad can NOT act! Hammy over-acting like Greta Garbo, so bad it's totally distracting from what was otherwise/could've been a great episode. Such bad overacting like she's desperately trying to cram everything into the audition tape of someone equal parts talentless and desperate. Major props to the other actors for not breaking character (I.e. not laughing at her) and being able to salvage their performances around her dreck. I'd hate to see who was turned DOWN for the part! My cat could've done better (and looked better doing it).

I've only seen Erika on Parenthood (on all episodes so far) and I like her acting. It's not award winning and her character Julia doesn't get get the best storylines but she works well in her role. Can't remember a moment when I thought her acting was not so good, I just wasn't happy with the storylines she and her family got in the first or first two seasons.

I just saw her in Tortured. Riveting performance. I was floored. She is a master of her craft.

Swimfan's on and I thought, from the wooden acting, I'd seen her before. Yep. The same one who was horrible on Law and Order: SVU is just as bad in this flick. Wooden, monotonous voice, absolutely no emotion in delivering her lines.

See her in "Home Room" for those who say she is wooden and cannot act; she's quite the opposite in that film. Haven't really seen her in much besides that except "Swimfan" and "Leave it to Beaver" and I don't really think I can judge her acting abilities on those films but I'm sure she's pretty decent in other things. She's smoking on top of that.

I disagree, I just watched her in an older episode of "Lie to me", where she plays a woman with Multiple personalities.. She plays 4 separate and distinctive personalities and does a very good job.. Matter of fact, that's why I'm here today, looking for other work she's done that I can watch..

I just saw How To Rob A Bank.. totally bemused. She is so blah. Absolutely no emotion, terrible timing. I've observed her through the years in other stuff, SVU, Swimfan etc.. unimpressed to the nth. I do not get it. At all.

You're either a moron or one of her relatives (or her). Unfortunate in every case.

I don't understand why all these people think she's so bad. I think she's a good actress, especially in Traffic, she did great in that movie. It sounds like some of these people just have nothing better to do than to hate on an easy target (ie celebrities). But to each their own I guess. And while everyone has their own opinions, I also think some of these are just plain old harsh.

I'm watching "How to Rob a Bank" right now, and she if perfect for the role imo. The chemistry between her and Nick Stahl is very beleivable. In fact this is the first thing that I have really watched with her in it and I was impressed enough to look her up here.

I haven't seen her in much, I'll admit. But I think she's great in Parenthood! I totally believe her as a working woman/ loving mother. Some people might think that the mom role is easy to play, but I would disagree. You have to form tangible bonds with the actors playing your family members, and I absolutely see that. There's a certain sort of chemistry that has to be present (especially in a show about parenthood, obviously), and it seems that some actors have a lot of trouble with that. It's quite the opposite with Christensenand everyone on the show. It's just my opinion, but I think some people's comments are a bit harsh.

I didn't think she was that great on SVU, but not that bad either.
She was a bit stilted in "Swimfan", she seemed to try too hard in some scenes.
But she was believable.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."

I ended up here for the same reason. Her acting on SVU isn't the worst acting I've ever seen, but it is the worst acting I've ever seen on television. She should get some kind of award.

Watching it right now, I came on her page just because of the exact fact you just stated. I'm blown away by how she could have possibly booked the job. despite a healthy career prior.
