She does a wonderful job playing a young woman
war-shocked into being mute in the second season
of Combat. Enjoying it on DVD. She doesn't utter
a word, but is on camera throughout most of the
ep, effectively displaying a wide range of emotions.
I vaguely remembered it from my childhood. This
episode was a tough one to bring off, and some
Combat heads preferred a similar ep "Battle of
the Roses" with Antoinette Bower, but my money
is on the expressive Ms. Comer and this "Weep"
story. Beautiful ending.

Watching that episode now. She is very good as the mute young woman. It's great to see shows/movies when you have a main character that doesn't speak a word. Makes you wonder how much of your day you could spend going about your business and not uttering a word, just nodding and shaking your head every so often.
