okay, because there are so many things wrong with the whole rape story given by that woman, here's what i'm thinking really happened that night. Sam cooke was a married man but like alot of male R&B singers back in those days, he did have adulterous affairs when he was out on the road. the wives often turned the other cheek and insisted they were just being "men". anyway, i'm thinking he went to this club or party or whatever, saw this woman, was attracted to her and felt he could have her because of his celebrity status. he approached her, she accepted, they agreed to go to a motel. i'm thinking maybe they had a disagreement or something, and she got upset and took his money and clothes while he w5b4as undressing or something, she lied and told bertha franklin that he tried to rape her. when sam ran out and tried to find the girl, bertha mistook it as an attack and killed him.
that's just what i think. i'm saying it's true. what do y'all think?
