If you saw the movie
Candy
starring Abbie Cornish, Geoffery Rush, and Heath Ledger you wouldn't say that.
Cornish performance was Oscar worthy- problem was the film was an Australian film. And also it was on a small budget- so audiences internationally probably won't get a chance to see it. Also the film was not recognized internationally unlike films such as
Chopper
and
Pricilla Queen of the Desert
. So Cornish performance was largely ignored from international critics and lost in the little fanfare the movie received.
