I met Nicolas Coster at the memorial service for Jason Robards in Manhattan 6 years ago. I found him to be very funny and charming. Someone there made 238a joke comparing his name to that of Kevin Costner and he laughed heartily. I am surprised to find that he was born in the UK because I always thought he was an American. He does a pretty good Southern accent.

I knew Nick, when I helped work on his boat the "Bagarre", in Oxnard, CA. I was a snot nosed high school kid, and I worked as a deckhand one day when he took the cast of "Santa Barbara" out to teach them to dive in Anacapa. Nick was the most gracious, approachable, unpretentious guy in the world. He was truly a "regular guy". Self effacing, and just a pleasure to be around. Every time I see him om TV or in a movie, I tell whomever I'm with what a great guy he is!

I just noticed that, too! That he was born in the UK. Because I agree, he does a good Southern accent. I like his voice anyway. I had a feeling he'd be a charming guy. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
