i studied with him for over two years. he was incredible, bringing out the best in every actor. he would make such a wonderful director!!!! i wish somebody has him direct his movie, this is where i see his career going. an example: i had problems with reciting my own poems, so i took the challenge to do so in class. one of the poems i wrote is called MATING SEASON and actually quite ironic and funny with a very sensual theme. i had no clue how to recite it though. i tried it maybe a bit too cynic, and the next time a bit too much on the funny side until nick, being as amazingly observant as he always is (this man would make a great psychiatrist) asked me only one question: "when you wrote this poem, did you feel like a lonely alien in this country, a little bit lost?" - i am, indeed, from another country and well, what can i say? it opened the floodgates, when i recited the poem one last time i cried. i didn't mean to, it just happened and felt so right. i didn't intend to, i didn't think my poem was meant that way. it was such a weird feeling. but it was REAL. and needless to say the other students in class had tears in their eyes and were so moved
thank you Nick, it is an HONOR to know you. it was a PRIVILEGE to study with you. i hope one day we'll do a movie together. i hope one day you'll direct me. and we'll get the Oscar
