Originally, a midget was someone who was perfectly proportioned, just small,
and a dwarf was someone who was out of proportion and small (ex. big head
and little legs). According to my little person friend, nowadays they prefer
to be called little pb68eople or dwarfs. Midget is offensive because it takes them
back to the days when they were exhibited by circuses as freaks.

Calling someone a midget is very offensive, they are people who suffer from dwarfism, and I believe most of them prefer to be referred to as little people. And it is a very different thing for a person who suffers from an ailment (not that dwarfism is an ailment, it is just a genetic quirk) to refer to themselves as crippled or whatever and to have you to call them that. So you should not be so offensive

hes short thats about it. As far a midget term who f ukin cares, its not like a army of dwarfs is going to take over the world any time soon and dominate us tall folk.
As for cripple it depends who you are, I got a good friend whos got MS or CS or wtf ever he has and he calls himself a cripple in humor. IF someone called him that since he doesn't have emotional problems he would tell them to f ck off.

If you noticed the definition said a person who is "physically well proportioned", Tony cox is not therefore he is a dwarf. So I guess that would depend on who you are talking to. The definition did say sometimes offensive. I think if you called a guy who is shorter than average height (shorter than 5'9") a midget, he'd probably get offended. I've known of dwarfs who don't like to be called midgets because that's not what they are. Go figure that a person wants to be called exactly as/what they are and not what YOU think they should be called. What is the world comig to?
As far as calling someone who is crippled a cripple the dictionary says
1 a sometimes offensive : a lame or partly disabled person or animal b : one that is disabled or deficient in a specified manner
2 : something flawed or imperfect
Again, depends on who you are talking to.

Well that was an intelligent answer, especially since he's considered a Dwarf not a midget (yeah there is a difference).
Merriam-Webster (That's DICTIONARY) MIDGET 2. sometimes offensive : a very small person; specifically : a person of unusually small size who is physically well-proportioned DWARF 1 a : a person of unusually small stature; especially : one whose bodily proportions are abnormal b : an insignificant person
